Abstract: The increasingly severe climate emergency has made people pay more and more attention to controlling carbon emissions. Using construction waste recycled materials (CW-RM) to prepare pervious concrete can not only effectively sell the urban solid waste of construction waste, reduce environmental pollution, but also provide a key material for the construction of 'sponge city'. In this paper, the application of CW-RM in pervious concrete is reviewed based on the key control factors affecting the performance of pervious concrete (aggregate characteristics, cementitious material pastes and volume structure parameters). Considering these key factors, in the process of designing and preparing construction waste recycled pervious concrete (CW-RPC), different types of construction waste recycled aggregate (CW-RA) can be selected according to different purposes and needs, and then the mechanical properties of CW-RPC can be improved by adjusting aggregate gradation and particle size and strengthening pretreatment. At the same time, cement-based cementitious materials and geopolymer-based cementitious materials for pervious concrete can be prepared by combining the characteristics of construction waste recycled powder (CW-RP). The selection of reasonable volume structure parameters is conducive to the coordination of CW-RPC mechanics and water permeability. Finally, the standards and engineering applications of CW-RPC in various countries are summarized, and possible future research directions are proposed for the existing problems such as cost, dosage and production practice. … (more)
