Main Title:
Sodium Perborate/Trifluoroacetic Anhydride Oxidation of Ketones Using Poly(Iodostyrene) as the Catalyst: A Direct Route to α-Hydroxy Ketones
Exposure of ketones to NaBO3 .4H2 O/(CF3 CO)2 O in the presence of a catalytic amount of poly(iodostyrene) afforded α-hydroxy ketones in good yield, with potential applications in the construction of α-hydroxy ketone subunit in natural product synthesis.
