Abstract

Abstract : Alkane elimination reactions of equimolar amounts of 17 Fnac2 H ( 17 Fnac2 H = FC[C(CF3 )NC6 F5 ]2 H) with ZnEt2 and AlMe3 as well as 16 Fnac2 H ( 16 Fnac2 H = HC[C(CF3 )NC6 F5 ]2 H) with GaMe3 yielded the corresponding heteroleptic complexes of 17 Fnac2 ZnEt (1 ), 17 Fnac2 AlMe2 (2 ), and 16 Fnac2 GaMe2 (3 ), whereas reactions of two equivalents of 16 Fnac2 H and 17 Fnac2 H with either ZnEt2 or Cp*2 Zn gave homoleptic Zn II complexes ( 16 Fnac2 )2 Zn (4 ) and ( 17 Fnac2 )2 Zn (5 ), respectively. 1 –5 were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy ( 1 H, 13 C, 19 F), elemental analysis and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.
