Abstract

Abstract : DOI: 10.1002/sscp.202200069 The cover picture shows a chromatogram of 1‐phenylethylamine (PEA) in a matrix sample labeled with a fluorous chiral derivatization reagent and analyzed by LC‐UV with a fluorous phase. The PEAs labeled by the fluorous chiral derivatization reagent were strongly retained in the fluorous phase, while contaminants in the matrix sample were eluted in a short time. Subsequently, enantiomeric separated PEAs were eluted and detected. The present method can achieve enantiomeric separation while avoiding interference by contaminants in the matrix sample, demonstrating its usefulness for the analysis of chiral compounds in matrix samples.
