Abstract

Abstract: Local anaesthesia (LA) is the standard of care in adequate pain control during routine dental practice as well as minor oral surgery procedures. Thus, LA offers pain control and comfort to the patient, enabling the clinician to perform the scheduled procedure with confidence and patient safety. The present case report describes the rare complication of vocal cord paralysis following a lingual nerve block.
