Abstract

Abstract: Aim: To introduce the reader to the rare solid odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) that is different from the classic OKC and may mimic other entities. Case report: We discuss a solid OKC occurring in the body of the mandible of a 59‐year‐old female, which was treated with a local excision. Discussion: The clinical, radiological and histological findings are discussed alongside the pertinent literature. Conclusion: Awareness of the solid OKC should ensure appropriate work‐up and management of this rare entity.
