Abstract

Abstract : A series of CuO x /CeO2 -X were fabricated and employed as the NO + CO reaction catalysts. Abstract : A series of copper oxide catalysts supported on cerium oxide particles with different morphologies (CuO x /CeO2 -X) were fabricated and the catalytic performance (NO conversion, N2 selectivity, and O2 /H2 O/SO2 resistance) was evaluated in the NO + CO reaction. The results indicate that the catalytic performance is obviously impacted by the morphology and the crystal-plane of CeO2, where CuO x /CeO2 -H exhibits 90% NO conversion at 215 °C, above 90% N2 selectivity at 185 °C and strong O2 /H2 O/SO2 resistance. Characterization analysis reveals that the excellent performance of the CuO x /CeO2 -H catalyst originates from the surrounding (100) and (111) planes, which provides an optimal coordination environment of Cu 2+ ions and enriches the active sites.
