- Abstract: The main objective of this study is to examine the influence of carbon emission intensity on firm performance, in the context of top 100 companies listed in Bombay Stock Exchange. For the purpose of this study, secondary data has been collected from annual reports and environmental report and the study period is 5 years i.e. 2016-17 to 2020-21. By employing System GMM model, we found that the effect of carbon emission on firm performance is negative and statistically significant.
