- Abstract: Research and complete representation of Rhodium (Rh) noble metal on SS304 substrate (Stainless steel) prepared by direct current (DC) and pulse current (PC) have been conducted. Various deposition circumstances were investigated, including current density, pH, deposition rate, and temperature. The films were characterized by SEM, EDX and AFM. XRD was used to examine the crystal structure of the Rh coatings. Rh deposited samples show enhanced photocatalytic activity towards methylene blue (MB) and compared its worthy efficacy with various parameters such as pH, dye concentration, oxygen reactive species and scavengers. The dye degradation performance of the PC coated sample is superior to the DC coated sample because of grain size and uniformity and it was tracked with the help of a UV–Vis spectrophotometer. Highlights: The Rhodium metal was coated on SS304 successfully by DC and PC method. Coated samples were characterized by SEM and AFM for surface coating studies. The prepared samples were effectively used for MB dye degradation by the photocatalysis method. PC coated with 75% duty cycle gives 98% efficiency.
