Abstract

Highlights: A leadership program is a means of developing skills in young specialists. It is crucial that future leaders know how to build and work in a team. Good mentorship includes teaching clinical/practical information AND soft skills. Friendship is crucial in the work environment. Every young specialist deserves to meet the professors – face to face – with questions allowed on all aspects. Abstract: The European Society of MusculoSkeletal Radiology (ESSR), is a scientific body which rapidly expands over the last two decades. Such a large society needs involvement of young, ambitious and skilled radiologists who will be able to face the challenges of the rapidly induced changes in Medical Imaging and Intervention. A leadership program is a means to offer chances of developing skills that young radiologists may need in order to move forward within the ESSR body and contribute to its further growth. The authors present herein the m.avatar project which was performed under the auspices of ESSR.
