Abstract

Abstract : Since 2015, each August (except during the 2020 pandemic year) I produce a national creative writing conference. As I sat down to write this month's column, fresh from an exhilarating weekend with more than 150 writers from all over the country, I couldn't help but think about how I've been impacted by conferences over the past two decades, in terms of both my career in higher education and my passion for creative writing.
