Abstract

ABSTRACT: We examined specimens of Amphinemura from Zhejiang Province housed at the Insect Collection of Yangzhou University. Among these specimens, we describe and illustrate Amphinemura oxyacantha sp. nov. Also found were relatively fresh specimens of Amphinemura chui Wu, 1935. Comparison of these with recent descriptions and illustrations of A. guangdongensis Yang, Li & Zhu, 2004 leads us to conclude that the latter is a synonym of A. chui . Supplementary description and illustration of A. chui facilitate comparison and identification of this species.
