- Abstract : We present a 78-year-old woman with clinical acute hypopituitarism in whom pathologic findings showed lymphocytic hypophysitis and retroperitoneal fibrosis. Lymphocytic hypophysitis should be included in the differential diagnosis of hypopituitarism at any age. The association with idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis suggest an autoimmune origin for this entity.
