- Abstract: This paper deals with the comparative study of synthesis and properties of Pure and Mn doped CdO nanoparticles by co-precipitation method. The effect of Mn dopant on structural, optical and dielectric properties has been investigated by X- ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Visible Diffuse Reflectance (UV-DRS) spectroscopy and Dielectric analysis respectively. XRD results reveal that the as prepared nanoparticles have cubic phase. The energy band gap was calculated with the help of Tauc relation. Dielectric constant and loss were found to decrease with the increase in frequency which can be can be explained with the help of Maxwell-Wagner model. A.C. conductivity was found to increase with the increase in frequency which can be due to hopping between charge carriers
