Abstract

Highlights: We performed experimental infection of BLV in buffaloes and ewes. > 50% of the inoculated animals presented seroconversion to antibodies against BLV. ELISA showed higher sensitivity to detection of BLV than agar gel immunodiffusion. Other species are susceptible to BLV transmission from buffaloes.
