- Abstract : The likelihood of a risk factor achieving statistical significance is affected by the overall sample size as well as the distributions of both outcome and predictor variables. Closer attention to confidence intervals and visual displays, in the context of a prespecified determination of effects of interest, contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the results of a data analysis.
