Abstract

Abstract: We report a case with leukoplakia of the tongue as a manifestation of chronic graft versus host disease after allogeneic stem cell transplantation for acute promyelocytic leukemia treated with Clostridium butyricum tablets. His leukoplakia subsequently disappeared and his regulatory T cells increased after three months. Highlights: A leukoplakia of the tongue disappeared after oral treatment with C. butyricum. The regulatory T cells in peripheral blood increased after administration of C. butyricum. Clostridium butyricum could improve chronic graft versus host disease.
