Abstract

Abstract: Herein, we present the first record of Henckelia longipedicellata (B.L.Burtt) D.J.Middleton & Mich.Möller (Gesneriaceae) for the flora of India based on specimens from Mayodia, Mishmi Hills, Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh, India and its rediscovery after type collection. This species is easily recognized due to its solitary flowers with longer peduncles, deeply divided calyx lobes and ventrally pouched campanulate corolla. H. longipedicellata is so far known from Myanmar. A brief description along with additional notes and photographs are provided.
