- Abstract: Medical imaging is an indispensable aid for the patient's prognosis as well as observation. Early diagnosis of any kind of disease always plays an important role in the field of medical science. Glaucoma is one of the chronic disorders of the optic disc in which fluid pressure within the optic increases and if left untreated; the patients may lose their vision and even they may pertain total blindness. Glaucoma is an incurable disease, the only way to prevent any serious loss is its prevention by determining the risks at an early stage. It has also been mentioned as the "Silent theft of sight". Without showing any instant symptoms and consequences, it traps the patient and affects them in the long run. Glaucoma recognition involves the measurement of shape and size of the optic disc. Here this paper reviewed various researches and concluded that most of the researches are targeted to classify the blood vessels for broken vessel detection that signifies the Glaucoma in a better way. Accuracy may degrade due to incorrect or inappropriate masking.
