Abstract

Abstract: During an inventory of insect fauna around the lake of Reghaia between September 2013 and April 2014, Graphocephala versuta (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) was identified for the first time in Algeria. This is considered to be the first record of this species in the Palaerctic region. G. versuta is a vector of Xylella fastidiosa in the USA. Premier signalement de Graphocephala versuta (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) en Algérie et dans la région paléarctique: Lors d'un inventaire de la faune d'insectes autour du lac de Réghaïa entre septembre 2013 et avril 2014, Graphocephala versuta (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) a été identifié pour la première fois en Algérie. Ceci est considéré comme le premier signalement de cette espèce dans la région paléarctique. G. versuta est un vecteur de Xylella fastidiosa aux Etats‐Unis.
