Abstract

Abstract : Municipal solid waste (MSW) incineration power plant is an environmentally friendly way to deal with the increasing MSW. The generation of the MSW incineration plant is affected by the solid waste quantities, heating value, and maintenance scheduling. Both of the maintenance scheduling for generators and connected power system devices define the MSW power plant's operating states. Thus, their maintenance scheduling should be jointly elaborated, considering local MSW conditions. This study built a model of the MSW power plant in the view of power systems, taking full consider of its generation procedures. Then, this study proposed a joint maintenance scheduling model for the MSW power plant and connected power system devices, maximising the MSW power plant's monthly generations. This maintenance scheduling model was illustrated and compared in the case study. The MSW power plant can obtain the optimal maintenance scheduling by the proposed model, considering the interaction with power systems.
