- Abstract: One of the most investigated alternative materials for the production of biodiesel today is the microalgae. The present study aimed to evaluate the transesterification method in situ enzyme analysis of the microalgae D. salina in organic solvent, following the reaction through online monitoring with infrared probe and gas chromatography. Two tests were carried out under different conditions for comparative effect. Based on the results obtained by spectroscopy and chromatography, as well as in the properties calculated from the chromatographic profile, it can be concluded that it is possible to produce biodiesel in situ from microalgae biomass, reducing the oil extraction stage.
