Abstract

Summary: Serious neurological lesions such as vertebral canal haematoma are rare after obstetric regional analgesia/anaesthesia, but early detection may be crucial to avoid permanent damage. This may be hampered by the variable and sometimes prolonged recovery following 'normal' neuraxial block, such that an underlying lesion may easily be missed. These guidelines make recommendations for the monitoring of recovery from obstetric neuraxial block, and escalation should recovery be delayed or new symptoms develop, with the aim of preventing serious neurological morbidity. 요약: 산과 부위진통/마취(obstetric regional analgesia/anaes‐thesia) 후 척추관 혈종과 같은 심각한 신경학적 병변은 드물 지만 영구적 손상을 피하기 위해 조기 발견은 매우 중요하다. 조기 발견은 특정 변수에 의해 방해를 받을 수 있으며 때로는 '정상' 신경축 차단(neuraxial block) 후 회복 기간이 연장되어 근원적인 병변을 쉽게 놓칠 수 있다. 이 지침은 심각한 신경학 적 이환(morbidity)을 예방하기 위해 산과 신경축 차단으로부 터 회복의 감시(monitoring) 및 회복이 지연되거나 새로운 증 상이 발생하는 경우 관리 조치의 단계적 격상(escalation)에 대한 권고사항을 제공한다.
