- Abstract : The present study estabilished voltammetric detection of carbadox (CBX) using a novel flower-like iron oxide capped tripolyphosphate (Fe3 O4 @TPP) microstructured composite material. The flower-like Fe3 O4 @TPP was prepared by a facile hydrothermal route using sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP). The structural properties of composites were characterized using XRD, FT-IR and SEM, and the electrochemical measurements were carried out with three electrode system using CHI electrochemical workstation. The flower-like Fe3 O4 @TPP composites used as an electrochemical sensor for the detection of CBX. The as-fabricated sensor results in a high sensitivity (2.459 μA μM −1 cm −2 ) with the wide linear range (0.1–116.3 μM) and a lower limit of detection (LOD = 16.9 nM). Also, the prepared sensor has high repeatability, excellent storage stability and high selectivity. The as-synthesized flower-like Fe3 O4 @TPP composite sensor was used for the detection of CBX in contaminated pork and chicken samples.
