- Abstract : Poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers were grafted onto the surface of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by in situ polymerization. Basic chemical composition was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), along with the resulting Raman spectroscopy. Experimental results indicated that PAMAM dendrimer was successfully grown on the CNTs surface through the chemical reaction, which could introduce many reactive peripheral amine groups onto the CNTs surface.
