Abstract

Abstract : In her paper, "Hunting the Real" Wallerstein discusses the challenges of providing good-enough clinical services on an under-resourced in-patient psychiatric unit, with African American males experiencing various types of psychosis. I comment from a variety of perspectives including, culture, institutionalized racism, and the under-thematization of Blackness in psychoanalytic theory and clinical technique.
