Abstract

Abstract : Conformational Sensing : Olfactory receptor model superimposed on a stylized calcium imaging heatmap background. New evidence supports the hypothesis that different odorant conformations can lead to different receptor outputs, with the ensemble of conformations producing a composite response. The depicted octanal conformations were tested in Olfr2‐expressing neurons by use of conformationally restricted analogs.
