Abstract

ABSTRACT: What follows are my reactions to the humility publications authored by McMahon (2020), Jones and Branco (2020), Gutierrez et al. (2020), and Beinart (2020). I (a) heartily embrace McMahon's (2020) five touchstones for fostering supervisor humility development and indicate why I view them as so valuable; (b) dub Jones and Branco's (2020) broaching as perhaps being the premier intervention of multicultural orientation, regarding it as the invitational gateway to the opening of a culture of cultural care in supervision; (c) consider the Gutierrez et al. (2020) paper to be a most rich, novel contribution, in which they seamlessly integrate multicultural orientation, the Cultural Third, and religious/spiritual competencies into a new and innovative practical framework; and (d) in response to Beinart's (2020) highly critical commentary about my relational humility paper (Watkins, 2020), I offer my own highly critical commentary in return.
