Abstract

Abstract: The assembly of metal structures by welding is very developed in the industry, in particular the pressure vessels: boilers, tanks, etc. In the case of boilers that produce hot water and steam, it is very interesting to reduce heat losses in the welds. The objective of our work is to analyze the defects of the welded structures using two methods: phased array ultrasound and infrared thermography, and to evaluate the thermal losses.
