- Abstract: Single crystals of WTe2 have been prepared using the flux method. Analysis of the x-ray diffraction pattern shows the pure phase of the sample. Temperature dependent resistivity indicates the metallic nature of the sample. The residual resistance ratio of the sample has been found very high providing further evidence of the good quality of the crystals. Extremely high magnetoresistance has been observed in the sample. Quantum oscillations have been seen at high field. Fast Fourier transformation of the quantum oscillations shows nearly the same size of the electron and hole pocket in the sample.
