- Abstract : The photodynamic therapy effect and mechanism of mitochondria targeting photodynamic therapeutic agents (MitDt) are reported. The MitDt is taken in by the cancer mitochondria and subsequently releases singlet oxygen ( O 1 2 ) when irradiated with a 662 nm laser, thereby inducing apoptosis of cancer. The underlying mechanism is discussed in article number 1700481 by Yeu‐Chun Kim and co‐workers.
