Abstract

Abstract: A visible-light-induced PPh2 Cy/CsI-promoted tandem radical decarboxylative/alkylarylation of alkyl substituted redox-active esters and N-acrylamides to generate 3, 3-dialkyl substituted oxindoles and isoquinoline-1, 3-diones derivatives was developed under metal-free conditions. This transformation provides an alternative and mild method for the synthesis of highly functionalized five- and six-membered nitrogen-containing compounds.
