Abstract

Abstract: Atraumatic convexity subarachnoid hemorrhage (cSAH) is a rare non‐aneurysmal SAH, commonly due to ipsilateral internal carotid artery (ICA) stenosis. It is unusual for the cSAH to occur contralaterally to the infarct. We report two cases of acute ischemic stroke associated with contralateral and ipsilateral cSAH that had different presentations. Abstract : Due to diverse cSAH etiologies, physicians must have a low threshold to investigate possible large vessel stenosis in addition to the consideration of other common causes. If large vessel stenosis is diagnosed, then the patients' demographics and risk factors may play a role in risk stratification and management.
