- Abstract : Recent progress of high‐performance afterglow materials obtained by a two‐component design strategy is reviewed. Due to the unique advantages of two‐component design strategies, various derivative strategies such as the dopant‐matrix design, donor–acceptor design, sensitization and energy transfer strategies can be applied to manipulate triplet excited states. This Review article on page 5 ff. presents the latest achievements categorized by different design strategies, discusses the underlying mechanisms, and describes applications of organic afterglow materials in specific areas.
