- Abstract : Opposite direction short pulse insertion to an SSD (Smectic Single Domain) liquid crystal panel has revealed significant shortening of decay time from 250 ms with a simple pulse to 50 ms with the short pulse at 8 V, 1 ms main pulse duration preserving its in‐plane only retardation switching property.
