- Abstract : In the review number EXP.20210166, Zhen Li and co‐workers summarize the recent advances in targeting and engineering macrophages for anti‐tumor immunotherapy. Modulation of tumor associated macrophages, enhancement of macrophage‐mediated engulfment, blockage of macrophage‐mediated efferocytosis, and engineering of macrophage‐based drug delivery could significantly improve the efficacy of immunotherapy. The challenges of macrophage‐based immunotherapies are also highlighted.
