- Abstract : Aim: To identify factors that are relevant for spoken language comprehension in children with cerebral palsy (CP), following the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health – Children and Youth (ICF‐CY) framework. Method: A systematic literature search was conducted using the electronic literature databases PubMed, Embase, PsycInfo, and Cochrane Library, from January 1967 to December 2019. Included studies involved children with CP, results regarding spoken language comprehension, and analysis of at least one associated factor. Factors were classified within ICF‐CY domains. Results: Twenty‐one studies met inclusion criteria. Factors in the ICF‐CY domains of body functions and structure were most frequently reported. White brain matter abnormalities, motor type, functional mobility, and intellectual functioning appear to be relevant factors in spoken language comprehension in CP. Factors in the domain of activities and participation, as well as contextual factors, have rarely been studied in the context of spoken language comprehension in CP. Interpretation: Most factors known to be important for spoken language comprehension in typically developing children and/or known to be susceptible to change by interventions are understudied in CP. Método: Se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica sistemática utilizando las bases de datos bibliográficas electrónicas PubMed, Embase, PsycInfo y Cochrane Library, desde enero de 1967 hasta diciembre de 2019. Los estudios incluidos involucraron a niños con PC, los resultados con respecto a la comprensión del lenguaje hablado y el análisis de al menos un factor asociado . Los factores se clasificaron dentro de los dominios ICF‐CY. Resultados: Veintiún estudios cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Los factores en los dominios ICF‐CY de las funciones corporales y la estructura fueron los que se informaron con mayor frecuencia. Método: Uma busca sistemática pela literatura foi realizada usando as bases de dados eletrônicas PubMed, Embase, PsycInfo, e Cochrane Library, de janeiro de 1967 a dezembro de 2019. Os estudos incluídos envolviam crianças com PC, resultados relativos a compreensão da linguagem falada, e análise de pelo menos um fator associado. Os fatores foram classificados segundo os domínios da CIF‐CJ. Resultados: Vinte e um estudos atenderam aos critérios de inclusão. Fatores nos domínios da CIF de estruturas e funções do corpo foram os mais frequentemente reportados. Anormalidades da substância branca, tipo motor, mobilidade funcional, e funcionamento intelectual parecem ser fatores relevantes na compreensão da linguagem falada em PC.
