- Abstract: A novel fluorescent C 3V -symmetric tris(coumarin-urea) anion receptor from trindane based tripodal scaffold was synthesized, and its anion recognition behavior was explored by optical methods. Receptor showed H2 PO4 − and F − selective fluorogenic response among the tested anions. 1 H NMR titration study in DMSO- d 6 solution reveals that the receptor formed 1:1 caviplex with H2 PO4 − whereas the most basic F − abstract the urea-NH protons.
