- ABSTRACT: Sko1 plays a key role in the control of gene expression by osmotic and oxidative stress in yeast. We demonstrate that the decrease in chronological lifespan (CLS) of hog1 Δ cells was suppressed by SKO1 deletion. sko1 Δ single mutant cells were shown to have a longer CLS, thus implicating Sko1 in the regulation of their CLS.
