- Abstract: A description of the stress state of the coal seam contained tectonic disturbance with closed edges is presented. The area of the disturbance is shown in the form of an elliptical inclusion and rupturing dislocation with displaced edges. Stress state is defined as a superposition of two solutions on the reference pressure of the coal seam and zone of rupturing dislocation. Changes in the stress-strain state parameters leads to reindexation of the axes with preserving their spatial orientation. This leads to changes in geomechanical state of the coal seams and properties of coal and adjoining rocks when approaching and passing through tectonic disturbances.
