Abstract

Abstract: This introduction to the special issue outlines key ways that behavioral medicine researchers can accelerate their science. The authors highlight the 2020 Society of Behavioral Medicine's annual meeting plenary sessions, that fit this theme. Abstract : Contributions to this issue present ways we can "accelerate behavioral medicine", including optimizing study designs, collaborating across disciplines, pursuing provocative questions, communicating effectively to the public and policy makers, and leading/utilizing technological advances with guiding principles.
