Abstract

Abstract : Grid-Enhancing Technologies (GETs) enable maximal use of the existing transmission system by increasing network efficiency. This study estimates that combined GETs deployment can more than double renewable generation connection in Kansas and Oklahoma in 2025 relative to the status quo. These GETs investments generate $175 million in annual production cost savings from the renewable connections, yielding a roughly 6-month ROI.
