- Abstract: A 6‐year‐old, male, boxer breed dog presented with a 1‐month history of severe, gradually progressive right thoracic limb lameness without history of trauma. Previous medication included oclacitinib for management of atopic skin disease. The dog was diagnosed with humeral intracondylar fissure (HIF) on computed tomography. Therefore, HIF should be considered as a differential diagnosis for thoracic limb lameness in this breed. Surgical stabilisation of HIF with a 4.5 mm titanium transcondylar screw placed from medial to lateral resulted in resolution of visible lameness.
