- Abstract: A new name Cirsium vickifunkiae, is proposed to replace the illegitimate later homonym C. validum . According to the Art. 7.11 of Shenzhen Code, the typification of the basionym Carduus validus was not correctly proposed by Ackerfield et al. in 2020. Therefore, a lectotypification of the Greene's name is here given.
