- Highlights: In this letter, we introduce the concept of frequency selection into the field of incoherent digital holography. It is also the worldí¯s first demonstration of incoherent optical frequency selection technology. Theoretically it is possible to extend the number of object waves carrying object information to infinite dimensions. Such multiplexed incoherent holograms can be stored or sent in their compressed form or reconstructed in an optical method with reduced temporal resolution. We believe that our work paves the way for wide-field super-resolution TPFS-FINCH for biomedical imaging. This is effective for cases where the spatial resolution of a static observer is not sufficient. Abstract: We proposed a new incoherent optical frequency selection method called two-pack frequency-selective (TPFS) incoherent holography, which compresses two on-axis holograms into a single multiplexed on-axis hologram without loss of magnification and resolution. The spectrum we want to reconstruct is intercepted by multiple confounding correlation terms in the spatial frequency domain. The background bias term and conjugate term can be effectively suppressed. This work is the first to attempt a multiplexed reconstruction in the field of incoherent light. Experiment results highlight the potential of the proposed method in several areas, such as compressed holography and extended field of view imaging.
