- Highlights: Chronic rhinosinusitis can be very difficult to treat. Many patients have recurrent infections for years. Antibiotics and surgery sometimes are not enough to cure the patient. Phage therapy is a promising approach for difficult-to-treat infections. Abstract: We present a case of refractory methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus that was successfully treated with a combination of antibiotics, systemic phage and intranasal phage therapy.
