- Abstract: This investigation program was intended to develop fibre reinforced pavement quality concrete (PQC) with coarse recycled aggregate (CRA) and coir fibre. The work was carried out in two different stages viz. finding the optimum dosage level of CRA and predict the optimum dosage of coir fibre content based on the mechanical properties. M35 grade of PQC was designed for this investigation. The primary objective of this investigation was to evaluate the effect of CRA and coir fibre on bond strength of PQC. The replacement of granite aggregate with CRA by 25% and addition of 1% coir fibre were found as the optimum levels in the concrete composites without compromising the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength. The pull out test was conducted to evaluate the bond strength and found to increase the bond strength at 45% more than the control concrete based on the 0.125 mm slip during the test.
