- Abstract : Enhancement of the enzymatic activity of cell‐membrane‐coated metal–organic framework nanoparticles by depleting membrane cholesterol is demonstrated by Weiwei Gao, Liangfang Zhang et al. in their Communication (e202203115 ). Increased membrane permeability, caused by the reduction in cholesterol level, is likely responsible for the increased enzymatic activity. This discovery broadens the use of these biomimetic nanoparticles in drug delivery and biodetoxification.
