Abstract

This research examines how real-time visibility technology acceptance affects the performance of healthcare and retail cargo supply chains. A modified technology acceptance model (TAM) frames the analysis. It was operationalised and tested via empirical study; it is the basis for the analysis of real-time visibility variables. Findings support the claim that users' perceived ease of use significantly impacts real-time supply chain visibility adoption, which positively impacts supply chain performance. Results confirm previous theoretical findings. Practically, this research details a novel cargo visibility solution, a unitary technology that unmasks key pallet- and item-level data. And real-time cargo visibility improves contingency planning and increases customer satisfaction. This supports the study's aggregate purpose, to exploit the platform's potential as a pragmatic and proactive cargo tracking tool.
