- Graphical abstract: Novel copper(I) complexes containing Px Ny -type ligands have been synthesized and characterized, which could efficiently catalyze the hydrosilylation of a wide range of ketones under relative mild conditions, affording the corresponding alcohols with high yields. Abstract: Using conveniently available Cu(CH3 CN)4 PF6 and Px Ny -type ligands as starting material, copper(I) complexes 1 and 2 could be easily prepared. Furtherly, we confirmed the structures of these novel copper(I) complexes by studying X-ray diffraction of the single crystals. The hydrosilylation of a wide range of ketones catalyzed by the well-designed copper(I) complex proceeded smoothly under mild reaction conditions, obtaining the corresponding alcohols with high yields.
